About the Illustrator: Russ Cox says “I love winter and the snow, so I tricked, er, convinced my wife to head further north. I now live in Maine with my wife and 4 cats. Our two kids had enough sense to get out before we became the crazy cat people. Children’s books are now my main focus. I loved them as a kid. The little boy in me has never left, he just guided me back to where I belong. He could have taken a more direct approach but, but like a typical guy, he did not want to follow directions.”
